Before coming to Orange Shoe, I could feel some stiffness and loss of strength creeping in, and I knew I needed to be intentional about staying mobile and strong. I’m in my late 60’s and I didn’t want to slow down.
Training has improved my balance, endurance, and overall strength. I feel more agile in Pickleball and more energized leading adventure travel trips. I’m not just keeping up — I’m keeping strong.
I want to still be leading trips and saying “yes” to bold, even spontaneous adventures well into my 70s and beyond. Adventure has always been part of who I am, and I don’t see that changing. What I do know is that staying strong, mobile, and confident is what will allow me to keep saying yes.
I want to continue guiding women on incredible journeys — whether that’s snorkeling with sea lions, navigating long safari days, or taking on physically demanding experiences in remote parts of the world. I want to carry my own gear, keep up the pace, and lead by example.
Strength training isn’t just about fitness for me — it’s about freedom. It’s about maintaining the ability to move confidently, recover quickly, and fully participate in the experiences I love. If I can inspire other women to see that strength has no expiration date, that’s even better.
I’m not interested in slowing down. I’m interested in continuing to explore, lead, and live fully — for many years to come.
