About
Jayden graduated from Mount Mary University with a Masters of Science in Dietetics and a Nutrition and Fitness Emphasis. Besides owning and working for Orange Shoe, Jayden also works in other areas of her field including genetic nutrition and in maternal/child health as a dietitian and lactation counselor for expecting/current mothers, infants, children, and families. Jayden played basketball for 10 years and also ran track and cross country growing up. Jayden enjoys all things alternative medicine and holistic health-related, spending time with her best friend and husband, Connor, and caring for/homeschooling their young children.
Q & A
Q: Why did you become a personal trainer?
A: I knew since I was 15 years old that I wanted to become a dietitian! Food has always been a passion of mine because it's such a major/crucial part of our lives. Everything we consume either fights disease or fuels it. Food is truly medicine (or poison). There are also a lot of settings a dietitian can work in, and I'm one that likes to dabble in a lot of different things!
Q: What has been one of your favorite client experiences?
A: In general, I really like getting to know people on a deep level and love when people come to me with health-related questions. It doesn't feel like work to me because I'm so passionate about overall wellness in my personal life. I love to teach things to family members and friends!
Q: What is your proudest physical achievement?
A: There is nothing I'm more proud of than giving birth to my two beautiful children. Being able to exclusively provide breast milk as my babies' primary nutrition source for their first years of life has also been extremely rewarding.
