About

Hi! My name is Megan Edwards, and I'm currently a pre-nursing major at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Alongside my studies, I work as a personal trainer at UW-Madison’s Recreation & Wellbeing Center, where I get to combine my love of fitness with my passion for helping others feel their best. I also volunteer at St. Mary’s Hospital, gaining valuable experience in the healthcare setting and continuing to build strong connections with people in my community with my nursing assistant certification. In my free time, I love working out, whether it's strength training, trying a new group fitness class, or going for a run outside. I also enjoy being in nature, hanging out with friends, and spending quality time with my family, my boyfriend, and our new kitty (who keeps things entertaining!). I'm passionate about health and wellness in all forms and truly enjoy helping others discover what movement and strength can do for both the body and the mind.

Q & A

Q: Why did you become a personal trainer?

A: I became a personal trainer because I love helping people feel stronger, more confident, and capable in their bodies. Fitness has had such a positive impact on my life, and I wanted to share that with others, no matter their background, ability, or disability. Everyone deserves to feel empowered through movement, and I’m passionate about creating a welcoming, supportive space for all.

Q: What has been one of your favorite client experiences?

A: All of my favorite client experiences have been with those who are new to the gym and fitness world, who are excited to get started and move their bodies. Watching their progress and confidence expand in the gym will always be my favorite.

Q: What is your proudest physical achievement?

A: My proudest physical achievement was when I first started going to the gym. I was new, anxious, and unsure of what I was doing, but I kept showing up, learned as I went, and slowly gained confidence in my abilities. That growth not only changed me physically, but mentally too. Now, being a certified personal trainer and helping others through that same journey is something I’m incredibly proud of.

Q: Why do you love Orange Shoe?

A: I love Orange Shoe because it’s such a friendly and supportive environment. It challenges you to grow both mentally and physically, and the trainers truly care about helping each client reach their full potential. It’s a place where people feel seen, supported, and pushed to become their best selves.
