Q & A
Q: Why did you become a personal trainer?
A: I want to help people feel good about themselves and their bodies. Exercise is a powerful tool for holistic health. As a personal trainer, I get to help people discover this, and that's hugely rewarding!
Q: What has been one of your favorite client experiences?
A: There are so many, but I'll choose two as representatives. I helped one client achieve a state bench press record in her weight class in the USAPL, and the other restore functionality to her body after decades of neglect. Both experiences were uniquely rewarding and are just a couple of the amazing client experiences I've had.
Q: What is your proudest physical achievement?
A: I have Crohn's disease. Six months after a bad flare-up, I entered a powerlifting meet. My deadlift on that day was the heaviest lift in the entire meet across all weight classes, but that isn't why I'm proud of this. I'm proud because my son was at the meet. He was there for the entire process, from bedridden to strong. He saw what you can do if you are dedicated and willing to put the work in.
Q: Why do you love Orange Shoe?
A: I'm new, so I'm sure I'll find more reasons to love working at Orange Shoe, but it's a space that allows for individual attention and the development a strong, fitness focused community.
