About
Maggi recently moved back to the Madison area from Oshkosh where she pursued her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. Her goals have always been to help people, whether mentally, physically, or any other way she can. She found weight lifting 7 years ago and it has changed outlook on life dramatically. Moving her body in ways she never thought she could has boosted her confidence tenfold. A strict vegan, she aims to prove that it is possible to be strong, fit, and healthy eating only plant foods! In her free time she can be seen working hard in her home gym (she recently just acquired a squat rack!) snuggling with her two cats, and relaxing on the couch watching scary movies with her husband.
Q & A
Q: Why did you become a personal trainer?
A: I became a personal trainer because exercise has worked so well for me. It has boosted my confidence, changed my body, but most importantly makes me feel GOOD. And I want others to feel that way, too.
Q: What has been one of your favorite client experiences?
A: I had one client who was struggling walking the two steps to get into the door. She could barely lift 2lb dumbbells for more than five reps, and was severely depressed. I saw her three times a week and in the course of a year we got her down to a healthy weight which is amazing, but the biggest change was the size of her smile. She was full of life again, and felt better than she had in years.
Q: What is your proudest physical achievement?
A: I am constantly making PRs for myself. My most current Personal Record is deadlifting 250lbs. My current goal is to squat 200lbs.
Q: Why do you love Orange Shoe?
A: Orange Shoe is a place that is free of judgement and super supportive!
